The door knocker of Durham Cathedral, which is surprisingly quite large, but then it would have to be for a very large Cathedral.
I must admit I do like the quirky bits and pieces that can be found on a building, the knocker is on a door in the most wonderful archway, but to me it is the knocker that draws my eye.

I love the nose, but the whole in the forehead is worrying…
I’ve just noticed its got ears……
So it has! and I’ve just noticed I can’t spell hole either….
Well I didn’t like to say, but then I can hardly talk….in spelling I mean…..could talk for England given half a chance 🙂
