Angels tying the sheafs that they have scythed and then gathered, this is the last of three sections of a stained glass window that I found in Newcastle’s magnificent Cathedral Church of St Nicholas.
Below is the whole window, it is really split into two stories, the top section is Christ sowing seed and below is St Paul preaching.

That is a truly beautiful window! I have enjoyed seeing it in parts and then the whole – it makes you study the details more carefully.

A lovely collection – so much more movement and character in these angels.
I like the fact that they are doing something practical, not just looking pretty 🙂
