I cannot let Christmas go past, with out posting a Christmas font.  This font is from a tiny round tower church, St Mary’s in Titchwell, on the North Norfolk coast, which I explored on the 28th December.  The lovely Nativity set was made by the children of Brancaster Primary School.

A little history on the font……in 1890, restoration work was carried out on the church and the old 11th century ‘tub’ font, which had being serving the purpose of a drink trough in a field outside, was restored to its proper use and given a new base.  So glad that someone had the foresight to restore it.

Happy New Years Eve Everyone 🙂
