I nearly forgot this little ruin, it looks like it’s part of the ruins of Iona’s Nunnery, but they are the old parish church, Teampull Ronan or St Ronan’s Church. The church was built in the 13th century and apparently it overlies an earlier church, according to the information plaque.  St Ronan’s church was the Parish Church of Iona until the present church was constructed in 1828.
