I found something to day which I didn’t expect.  We did a return trip from Norfolk to Somerset and then back home to Norfolk today, so quite a long day.  We had to go to Taunton in Somerset and I had time to explore two churches and the castle.  But it was the first church St Mary Magdalene, that stopped me in my tracks, I did not….. expect to see a roof full of angels.  I’m used to seeing them in Norfolk and Suffolk, but not in Somerset, so it was a lovely surprise.

I also managed another church, abbey and a few distance shots of Dunster Castle while on our way to Minehead, to see if the steam trains were running, but they weren’t.  So then it was the long slog back to Norfolk, in non stop rain……but it had been worth it.

  1. That’s magnificent! I’m not sure about driving that route in the pouring rain, but seeing such a galaxy of angels and stars must have been thrilling.
