We saw a lot of this on our travels through the Islands of the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland. Strangely though we never really got hit by one, they always seem to be travelling away from us…..thank goodness. This photo of the Isle of Eriskay was destine to become monochrome, but somehow it just didn’t look right and it lost the effect of the sun shining, which was shining over us.
Beautiful dramatic sky~ love the contrast of light and shadow
Yes it was very beautiful, but we were just hoping that it didn’t come our way and as luck would have it, it bypassed us 🙂 The sky is very similar to the sky here in the Fens, big and dramatic, you can see a front coming for miles, time to get the washing in 🙂
I’m glad you didn’t turn this to monochrome, those colours are stunning! Great photo.
Thank you Jo, they were like little climate changes all over the Islands and because some parts were very flat you could see up to 3 little storms going on at once 🙂
Very moody and dramatic. A great shot
Thank you, it was amazing to watch 🙂
