After crossing the causeway on to South Uist from Eriskay, we found some sunshine, this was really the first time that we had seen this amount of blue sky in one go…….it does make a big difference photo wise.   A good start for our visit on South Uist, more posts to follow 🙂

  1. Blue sky does make a difference! I think that so often. But sometimes I wonder, if all the photos I publish are ‘blue sky’ ones, it might be giving a false impression of Scotland! Sometimes the intense colours you get on a dull day are atmospheric in themselves. This is what I try to tell myself, anyway! (I’m about to publish something about a standing stone that I photographed in the rain, and the pics at the moment are moody in the extreme!)

    1. Yes you are to totally right that Scotland can look great in sunshine and dull days, the colours change and the same view can look so different, but equally as beautiful. But after having so many days of mist etc it was wonderful to have some sun and oh so much warmer, Would changing the stones to black and black help 🙂

      1. I will be interested to see them if you do, sometimes it can just change a picture completely, especially if they are very dull for some reason 🙂
