We went on a steam train trip in 2011 from Holt to Sheringham on the North Norfolk coast, and I only had my iPhone for capturing the event. By changing them to black & white, hopefully I have saved them from being dull, boring, and not very interesting photos, thus saving them from the trash bin 🙂
They’re wonderful! For some strange reason I think the train pictures look better in black and white. Thanks!
Thank you Pat, maybe its because they are of that black & white era before colour telly……ha ha, my whole childhood was black & white 🙂
LOL! Me, too.
😀
Excellent photos, Lynne. Love all the old signs and it’s ideal for b&w. I am intrigued by ‘Colman’s Mustard Traffic’!
Thank you Jo, The mustard sign is on the side of a freight wagon, so maybe they move mustard around by train at one point, like a lot of other things……. there are just so many lorries on the road now…..bring back freight trains, no thats not going to happen, but it should.
Oh I see! 🙂 Yes, I agree with that! Far too many lorries on the road.
Especially on the way to Scotland at 5 in the morning, could not believe how many 🙂
Ah, this is a wonderful and evocative set. It takes me back to my train spotting youth when steam was King.
Thank you, I just love taking photos of them, takes me back as well 🙂
