Found yesterday in St Nicholas’ Church in Feltwell, Norfolk, a pulpit which is not original to the church, but was a gift from St Martins Church in Cambridge. The Royal Air Force generously transported and bore the cost of the re-erection of the Pulpit in about 1962/63.

Interesting wavy edge on the side of the steps. I love little extras like that.
Yes, I also think it must have had a bit of carpet at one time because of the difference in colour on the steps 🙂
