On the Road to Newport, Rhode Island – USA

On day five of our holiday, we made our way from Pennsylvanian to Massachusetts, and then over to Newport on Rhode Island.  The weather all the way was mostly rain, with little bits of blue sky, and it was a long way to drive in the rain.  Husband was very pleased to stop at the Indian Motorbike shop, to spend some money, have a coffee and chat with the owner.  Replenished, we carried on to Newport and our hotel……then thank goodness the rain stopped 🙂

  1. You covered a lot of territory! I90 passes just about a mile from where I am. You’d have to travel a loooong way in the opposite direction to get here. I like the photos, too bad you couldn’t get closer to that church. 🙂

    1. Oh thats a shame, any closer and we could have popped in for coffee 🙂 Yes I would have loved to have had a look at the church, but it was not the time to ask for a pit stop LOL 🙂

  2. So glad you getting to see our country, and heading for the nucleus of our colonies. I enjoy your posts so much about my ancestors churches in England, glad to see you sightseeing this side of the ocean.

    1. Thank you we had a lovely visit and just loved the Islands. You have a lot history there, not so old as the Uk, but still very interesting. Glad you enjoy the posts, there will n=be more when I finished posting about our holiday 🙂
