Lamp Lighters

One of the side effects of sorting through my photos, is that my ‘Occupation Category is growing daily.  These two are lighting the lamps on a steam train.  The following photo is the train the lamps belong to.  The station is Sheringham in Norfolk, The Poppy Line.

  1. That’s great that they use the old fashioned lamps. Are they very fussy about authenticity? I think I like this photo because you can’t see their faces. That makes it more about what they’re doing and less about who they are. And I like the name “The Poppy Line.” It sounds like something from a Roald Dahl book. 🙂

    1. Yes they are very much into authenticity, I actually like to take people backs because it is really what they are doing and as you say, not who they are. Its wonderful name comes from all the poppies that grow in the fields around the area, there are thousands in the summer 🙂
