A day at the seaside, well in reality about two hours, and most of that spent in the Golden Grid Restaurant in Scarborough, Yorkshire, eating fish and chips. We normally stop to have a break when driving back from Scotland, arriving in late afternoon or early evening. But I always manage to find time to take a couple of photos, hopefully these few photos will show you that Scarborough is worth a visit and remember to leave time to visit the castle…….which I still need to do 🙂
Scarborough, Yorkshire 2015
I’m glad you left some color in for those boats! They are something. Is that huge building a hotel? Looks quite old. Great photos!
Thanks Pat, yes the building is the Grand Hotel, its Victorian, and next time i want to have afternoon tea there, thats if they do it 🙂
Looks beautiful!
Yes its a lovely place 🙂
Lovely pics, Lynne – that is one heck of a big hotel there on the seafront!
Thanks Jo, yes its the Grand Hotel and its the one building that always stuck in mind as a small child when we use to visit 🙂
Great photos Lynne 🙂 I think you have truly managed to capture the essence of Scarborough 🙂
Thank you Andy, I would love to have more time to really explore the place, but some is better then none 🙂
That’s very true Lynne 🙂 But maybe one time when you are heading up in our direction, you could stay overnight in Scarborough 🙂
