Graffiti in Dolbadarn Castle, Wales

I took a few other photos when we visited Dolbadarn Castle in Llanberis, North Wales, which are of the graffiti that I found on the stonework.  There are a some earlier dates of the late 1800’s and there does look like one of 1800, but I’m not sure of that one.

 I like to collect them in my ‘Graffiti in Ancient Buildings’ category.

    1. Oh is not only in castles, the earliest I have found was in a church on a pillar dated 1600, I just find it very fascinating that people have always wanted to leave their mark and still do, in a different kind of way 🙂
