I want to live where otters cross the road…….so that would the Isle of South Uist, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, but as that is never likely to happen, I’ll just have to make do with my photos that I took in 2014. For some reason I’m finding it very hard to leave South Uist, I wonder why 🙂
Maybe because it’s beautiful? That place would be nice even without the otter crossing. 🙂 Lovely pictures.
Thank you Pat, it is really lovely, I think I like it because some of it is very like the North Norfolk Coast, big skies and sands. I should really do some photos of the beaches here 🙂
That would be nice. Gives you a reason to go to the beach. 🙂
Yep, will just have to pick a nice day….could be a little while yet 🙂
I can see why–beautiful place.
It would be nice wouldn’t, a glass of wine, a book and a ready made garden 🙂
Wow, as others have already said, such a beautiful place!
Yes it is beautiful and extremely peaceful in this busy modern world of ours 🙂
Amazing photos!
Thank you, glad you like them 🙂
These pictures bring to mind my growing up days.. Swimming in the bay ,running over the sands of Assateague island, can even smell the salt water! 🙂 We have otters here in Ga. They are lovely critters.
Oh that sounds like a lovely part of you childhood…..I have never seen an otter in the wild, I saw a beaver in a river in Germany once and he was wonderful 🙂
Such wonderful scenery – and the Otter Crossing sign is priceless 🙂
A beautiful part of the world, just wished I had seen an otter 🙂
🙂
Lynne, you might find this amusing. http://prairieecologist.com/2013/11/12/i-otter-be-happy-but-im-not/
Ha ha…I feel his pain Pat, very good 🙂
These are some beautiful pictures. It seems so serene… no wonder the otters love it there!
Thank you Victoria, its a beautiful place to take photos, and your are right, it is very serene 🙂
You could try Mull too if you haven’t already been. They have those signs too. I was lucky enough to spot on once. Lovely photos.
Thank you, yes we have been to Mull quite a few times, but so far no otters, maybe this May, we will be lucky 🙂
To be fair to took me about 20 odd trips to finally spot one there. 😜 Nada last month when we visited but we’re back in September so maybe second time lucky. Good luck next month. Salen by the wrecks was my otter hotspot.
Thanks for the tip, fingers crossed 🙂
