Where Otters Cross The Road

I want to live where otters cross the road…….so that would the Isle of South Uist, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, but as that is never likely to happen, I’ll just have to make do with my photos that I took in 2014.  For some reason I’m finding it very hard to leave South Uist, I wonder why 🙂

  1. Maybe because it’s beautiful? That place would be nice even without the otter crossing. 🙂 Lovely pictures.

    1. Thank you Pat, it is really lovely, I think I like it because some of it is very like the North Norfolk Coast, big skies and sands. I should really do some photos of the beaches here 🙂

  2. These pictures bring to mind my growing up days.. Swimming in the bay ,running over the sands of Assateague island, can even smell the salt water! 🙂 We have otters here in Ga. They are lovely critters.

    1. Oh that sounds like a lovely part of you childhood…..I have never seen an otter in the wild, I saw a beaver in a river in Germany once and he was wonderful 🙂

  3. You could try Mull too if you haven’t already been. They have those signs too. I was lucky enough to spot on once. Lovely photos.

      1. To be fair to took me about 20 odd trips to finally spot one there. 😜 Nada last month when we visited but we’re back in September so maybe second time lucky. Good luck next month. Salen by the wrecks was my otter hotspot.
