Talking Eyes

DSC_0498

Still sorting photos, these were taken last Christmas 2015, two of my grandchildren, Kate and Oscar. Β While looking at the pictures, I noticed that really, when you look at a face, its really just the eyes you look at…… eyes talk volumes πŸ™‚

  1. With Kate, the eyes, definitely! She has very beautiful eyes. Harry has a very expressive mouth. I don’t think I’d miss that, even when it’s pouting. πŸ™‚

  2. Harry’s expressions are a child’s ,every open. Kate’s showing a more adult look ,the mouth expressions are more subtle. I chuckled on the second one of Kate’s… Seen that look on my own daughters faces before! Lol!! Lovely looking children!

    1. I think I am going just slightly mad, thats Oscar, not Harry. I think its because it was always Kate and Harry and then about 14 years later along came Oscar, never mind he is use to it πŸ™‚ And the look on Kate’s face is just the same as her mothers was, I think it must be a girl thing πŸ™‚

      1. Oh I know how it goes with names.. I get my daughters names goofed up ,sometimes I even call my oldest daughter my sisters name!πŸ™ƒ

  3. Eyes are the windows on the soul, they say, and it’s not insignificant that Byzantine icons make much of the eyes — even while the rich textures and colours try hard to distract us from them. We look to portrait photos as modern equivalents of icons, I think.

      1. Yes it is always greener….I would just like to have some thicker hair, unfortunately thin hair is a Spanner trait, but it could be worse… I suppose πŸ™‚
