This is a sight that you see all over Venice, Italy, people pushing trolleys, moving things from one place to another.  This is a walking island, no vehicles here, only the type that you can push or pull.  Everything is brought to the island by boat of some kind and then what, sometimes the shipment is lifted from the boats directly to the delivery point, but if not, an army of men can be seen pushing trolleys.  Then you have workmen, many have boats, but its a bit like parking a car, there are just so many parking places.  The answer is to pack up a trolly with their working tools and push, the only downside, is the many bridges they have to cross, but they do, theres a knack to it, like everything, when you know how.

    1. Yes Pat there is a boat for everything, I have some photos of different boats to do a post, amazing really when you think, it is only boats that bring everything to the island 🙂
