I have been playing with filters on a couple of photos, just a little different from pure black & white. I quite like them, although I think that I prefer black & white, but its nice to try out different looks. I choose a couple of random views of canals in Venice from our visit in October.
Venice October 2013
This makes them feel a lot softer. Yet it still has the starkness of black and white. Soft starkness? Hmmm… 🙂
Yes an odd one really, they are changed from colour to b&w and then changed to some thing called instant, which does give them a more mellow feeling….maybe 🙂
I love the styling and composition! Keep playing!
Thank you, glad you like them, its fun to play and see what happens 🙂
Another beautiful one!
Thank you so much 🙂
Hit the enter button too quick 😉 ! Your conversion gives these images a timeless, classic look. Could be a scene from a classic 50’s movie!
I would have loved to have take photos in the 50’s or even earlier, now its very hard to find subjects or scenery that give you that classic look. Ha ha I will have try some more 🙂
This filter itensifies its abandoned beauty.
Thank you, so glad you think so 🙂
