Sunday Dinner at Brandon Creek, Cambridgeshire

Scroll down to content

On some Sundays, we have ‘Sunday Dinner’ at the ‘The Ship Inn’  Brandon Creek in North Cambridgeshire, right on the boarder with Norfolk.  The Ship is a 17th Century Pub on the Great Ouse and sits in a striking location, on a promontory where the Great Ouse River is met by the Little Ouse.  You can sit and watch the canal boats making their way along, watch fisherman, young and old, all while eating a lovely roast dinner.  Their food is very good, and no….. I’m not getting a free meal for this, it’s just that they make the most wonderful gluten free ‘Yorkshire Pudding’ and lots more lovely GF food, so I am one happy bunny.  These photos were taken about three weeks ago, on a Sunday with no rain.  This Bank Holiday has been a scorcher, absolutely beautiful.  We bagged another three lighthouses on the Norfolk Coast today, evading the holiday makers as much as we could, so that makes eight this weekend.  I now just have to sort them out……
