I thought this was quite a good photo for my Occuption Category, Spinners with their Spinning Wheels. Taken at a show we went to somewhere in Lincolnshire, I just popped into the tent and took a quick shot. I loved the way they were all just sat around really enjoying themselves 🙂

It’s nice to see the older crafts. Spinning is becoming very popular here in our area, since it is near the famous annual Rhinebeck NY sheep and yarn show–
Oh I bet thats an interesting show to visit, I love seeing the ancient breeds and some of the yarn is amazing 🙂
We haven’t gotten there yet since we only moved to this area and I did a conference elsewhere that weekend–as a tarot reader, I find everyone wants readings in October!

Halloween, for whatever reasons, makes people feel like tarot readings are the thing to do. Even though I don’t predict and am much more of a therapist-type person (and was for a long time), the spooky crowd wants readings more then, and the average person on the street seems more interested in seeing what it’;s all about. There is also the belief in the celtic new year starting at halloween and the concept of ‘the veils being thinner’ at that time of year, so it can be a time when folks believe they will have more insight available to them. Whatever the reasons, commercial or spiritual, it is the busiest time of year for me if i choose to do the conferences.
