An English Vintage Steam Fair, Rutland Water, Rutland

Scroll down to content

I thought that some of my overseas visitors would like to experience an ‘English Vintage Steam Fair’.  It’s a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon, just wandering around the wonderful vintage, steam tractor engines, cars and caravans.  This fair was one we visited a couple of years ago, and you will see photos of our youngest dog Toffee.  He was just so cute, all fluffy, he still is cute, but just bigger and even more fluffy than before.  I have had fun changing the filters on some of the photos, well…. quite a few really, but it just makes them a little more interesting.  So ice creams at the ready, and off we go.

    1. Thank you, glad you enjoyed the visit 🙂 Where we are, in the summer there is something like this on every weekend, if you wanted to visit them all. We like to try a few different events each year….if we have time 🙂
I will have to an up to date photo shot of Toffee, he has turned into a wonderful little dog 🙂

      1. Yes thats true, always something to do 🙂 Ha ha I planed to take some Toffee photos in the garden, but its rained all night, I think it might stop later, hope so 🙂

  1. Love those old tractors, reminds me of my pops old tractor. Cute vintage camper ..one that even had a tea cozy on the tea pot! I love tea cozy’s although I hardly ever use them as I hardly make a pot of tea just a cup with a tea bag. Enjoyed seeing Toffees pup photos,a cutie for sure.

    1. Glad you enjoyed the tractors, I thought you might 🙂 Yes we just seem to pop a bag in a cup nowadays……I remember as a child my mum made proper tea in a teapot, with a tea cosy to keep it hot……and made with loose tea, so you used a tea strainer…….ah those were the days 🙂 I will do some up to date photos of Toffee, he is a real beauty now 🙂
