Black & White

My attempts at black & white images.

Good Afternoon Munich, Bavaria, Southern Germany

We have had two weeks of very hot weather, in the late 20’s every day.  I thought I would never say this…..even too hot to garden.  We have had visitors from Switzerland and they have loved the weather and enjoyed every minute of their sunny stay…… we on the other hand, kept a lot in the shade.  I am not moaning about it, I love to see it, but I think it it was all the time, you would have to change your life style, learn how to keep cool and invest in some air conditioning 🙂  Anyway back to the post, we are going to Munich in September to the Oktoberfest and have made our minds up to go on to Switzerland again, go up a few more mountains.  As I still have loads of photos of Munich from 2017,  I have had some fun, in the cool, changing them to mono.  These photos were taken in the afternoon on a walk around this beautiful and interesting city.

A Bite To Eat

I am sorting through some photos of Munich, Bavaria, that I want to change to black & white, when I came across this photo.  We were at the train station waiting for a train, when I just spotted these two young men and thought, if they carry on snacking, they will need some help later on 🙂

Back Streets of Venice, Italy

Sorting through some photos, I came across some Venice 2106 photos, that I had for some reason not use, mostly likely because I took way too many.  So I thought I would change these to mono and see how they looked.  I like photos that have that timeless feel to them, which you can achieve by changing them to black & white.  Hopefully some of these have that feel, anyway it was fun to do and I hate wasting photos 🙂

Sonic Ears

A couple of years ago we were on a train going through Europe, can’t actually remember which country, so Europe will do, when I saw this little face.  I’m not sure if this little cutie is a French Bulldog, hopefully someone will let me know.  He was so good and just watched what was going on in his little part of  world, all must have been ok, as he didn’t bark once.  But it’s the ears, they are just wonderful, and I’m guessing he didn’t miss much of what was going on around him.

Cable Car & Cranes, Royal Victoria Dock, London

Mixed weather today in Landsberg am Lech, Bavaria, sunny and warm mostly during the day, but rain tonight with possible thunder storms, never mind, we had three glorious days,  We visited an island today, which had three wonderful churches and the most amazing lighthouse, which I will post about when we come home.

The above photos are some that I took when we were staying on the Sunborn Yacht Hotel in Royal Victoria Dock.  I have posted about our stay there, but forgot to post photos of the view from the hotel.  I love the dock cranes, they look like they are going to start striding across the dock at any moment.  I must admit I have not been on the little cable car or ever will, but I’m sure the view must be amazing.
